Thumbs up I got a free iPod today!
My dad found a black 80GB iPod in the trash today. Turned out it was my brother's, who said it wouldn't turn on anymore. The problem turned out to be it wasn't charged up, so I got it, because he had purchased a while 160GB iPod for himself.

Talk about good luck, eh? Nothing beats the ability to have all my music and a video or two with me where ever I go.

No kidding lol. I wish I had that kind of luck. I can't imagine filling 80GBs of space though. I'm pretty sure I don't even have remotely that much music (roughly 20 CDs). My fiancee has a small little 2GB Creative Zen MP3 player. I think she said she had around 300 songs on it and it's still only half full O_O.

Regardless, even with a dead iPod, if someone were industrious enough, they could strip the HDD out of it, reformat it, and use it as a USB drive with a 2.5" external enclosure.

I agree, I wouldn't buy an iPod either. But you can't knock it for free!
