Default I got an '87 celica today
today a family friend called saying they needed to get rid of their 87 celica, and if i was interested in taking it.
so in short, i have myself a new car = ]
it's in awesome shape, 92k on the odo, but those were 92k cream-puff (grandpa) miles.
within a week i should have it street-worthy, and within a few weeks it'll be where i want it, hopefully.

nice car, go to love free stuff, especially free stuff that works!


This is my current project, my dads old 87' Ranger 2.9. So far I've replaced the coil, fuel regulator, spark wires. Next up is to get some new spark plugs, replace a front brake line, bleed the clutch , put a new exhaust on and fix instrument cluster, then she should be at least road worthy. Sorry to hijack your thread. Picture of the truck

and it's all so true

Last night i cleaned it REALLY well.
about 2 hours of me and my dad with a pressure washer and vaccum sucking the pine needles out from all the little crevases...

We then took it for a drive, heh.
after sitting for a year and a half, she pulled a 0-60 in about 5 seconds, and dropped one of the exhaust shields hahaha.

Exhaust is in the works too, once you hit about 6k rpm you get the 'fart-can' sound found on most ricers...

other than that, all it needs is an E-brake adjustment for inspection, but my dad and i are taking care of everything before then.
it might end up staying in the garage while we don't just make it a car, but get it really perfected before spring.

I'll get some pics of it cleaned up as well
