help finding references to the Bible in everyday life..

hey guys,
first off, i don't want this thread to become anything about religion in any way, i know that's difficult considering the title, and what i'm about to ask etc.
but here's the deal.
i managed to get myself into a Bible & related literature course at school.
One of the projects is to find references/allusions to the Bible in everyday life.
This means movies, comics, etc.
if you guys could throw up some you can think of i'd really appreciate it = ]

Are these references supposed to be just part of your natural environment or ones that you yourself bring into your daily life? On my Google homepage, I have a Bible quote of the day, but I had to link it there.

I would look at the obvious ones first. The Church fliers at stores, Church signs, mailed literature, Church in government, the Alabama Courts system had a huge deal about the display of the 10 Commandments not too long ago.

Political figures like Pres. Bush, Jesse Jackson (yeah, riiiiight) and topics like abortion, whose laws are dictated primarily based on political figures belief systems, on to things like the Virgin Mary on a piece of toast selling for thousands of dollars on Ebay.

Even though there's a separation of Church and State, there's so many things in our daily life that is referenced, either out-right or obliquely, to religion it's kinda funny. The separation of Church and State, but it really isn't.

I'm a Christian, not always by my actions but for sure in my beliefs, so maybe I'm more in tune to this.

I think this community can discuss this topic in this manner without it coming to flames.

Quakin, sorry i didn't define the project more clearly, it has to be references to the Bible in typical American culture, this doesn't mean i can open a book of worship songs and reference every one. For example "Sunday, bloody Sunday" is composed entirely of verses of the Bible.
and i know what you mean, i was really tempted to quote every single song ever written by every Christian...but it doesn't work so smoothly...

haha i guess i can make a "conversation" section of my notebook and put you down, capper =P

also i watched V for Vendetta the other day, and i feel that if you've seen it, i can help to clarify the assignment even more. it's very easy to compare V's mission to that of Exodus, but my teacher won't count it as a reference because it's not a direct reference to the Bible, only a comparison.
However, i fudged it a bit and wrote one on each of the Matrix trilogy

When asking a friend, about this assignment, if he could think of anything off the top of his head, he said:
