Default Helicopter SKILLZ baby!

Check it out.

If there's one thing I know a hundred times better than computers, it's helicopters. How they operate, theory(not the best on this though), mechanics(quite proficient here), troubleshooting, firing machine guns out of them and, recognizing a good pilot. The things this guy does reminds me of my Special Ops days down in South America and over-water. Wheeeee!

Here's another one.

Thats pretty good, but nothing beats having your glut strapped to the side of an AH-6 doing strafes, and being shot at. :)

Yup. Been there...not shot at on an MH-6 though. I've done a lot of Pod rides and worked danger close with them on ranges when I was a MH-60K crew chief in D-Co 1/160th. Saw one shoot itself out of the sky once. It bumped, went into its strafing/rocket run and pulled out so low the shrap from the rockets hit the engine. That sucker flew right into the trees at the end of Range 29. Pieces and parts flying every where. We go into a hover over them, the medic goes down on the hoist and both pilots are sitting there BS'ing. Not a scratch on them.

That little bird is also highly maneuverable.

HOLY ****! Great stuff, nice find ;)

My Grandfather used to be a civilian engineer at rucker, back in the 70s-early 90s (I think), he used to work on hueys. Whenever they had a problem they couldn't figure out, they'd give it to him.

My dad also knew a guy that was training at rucker, and one day he hit a fog bank, panicked b/c he thought he was too low, and pulled just a tad bit too hard :(

Holy hell, that is some sick piloting. Probably as sick or sicker than some of the stunts I've seen pilots pull in F-16's. Like Quakin, I was a mechanic in the military as well, only he worked on whirly birds, and I worked on long darts. But yeah, you are definitely right on the money, Quakin. I know more about jet aircraft operation, theory, maintenance and troubleshooting than I do about computers. :)

Doesn't the pilot get dizzy in that second video? lol

My dad will appreciate these videos being an ole' A6 Intruder pilot..

I know nothing about being in combat, but being strafed by a US military chopper has to be a sickening feeling because there is not a snowballs chance in hell you are escaping.

You'd be surprised.

But that's why we turn around so fast.
