If I knew the answer to that, You'd all be at ZambiniDirect.com right now. LoL.

Best thing I can say is tell your friends about it, or you could advertise with your car.

Well a lot of the info that's on that second page is what I'm talking about. Using banners, advertising online - how should I actually go about doing that?

How do I tell a website to advertise my banner for me...or get search engines to actually bring up the website when I type in even the name of it (go ahead, type in ken edge music into Google, you won't get the site) - I just don't know this aspect of the web designing spectrum. There has to be a logical, systematic way of getting this done...I just can't seem to figure it out.

honestly, everything is based on traffic. sites that have fresh content and are linked by other sites get ranked higher.......which isn't great for a small company like that with a pretty static page.

All I can say is try to get his site linked on other sites, preferably high traffic and well established sites.....be warned that most times they will not do it for free though

Most websites have an "Advertise with us" or something of the like button. Just hit Control+F and type "Advertise" and you'll find something.

Hit up the demographic of ur customer's site.

No search bot or search engine will every find that website. Why? Because its all images. Search engines relay on keywords when searching pages. They can't read images, sorry.

One thing you could do is be a cheap @$$ and put a whole list of popular keywords on the bottom in comments.

Oh, P.S.... HTML is all lowercase, no caps.
oh, P.S.S. Its missing a DOCTYPE :)

I'm gonna be honest and say I have no idea what you meant by the PS and the PSS...

But the keywords make sense. How do I make the comments? I completely forgot...

Basically if they're in the HTML code, the search engines will pick up the words. I understand that part, which helps a great deal. Now just to get them in there as only comments.

Also, the sitemaps is something I had set up for him, he just hasn't decided whether or not he wanted to continue them. I'm going to encourage him to do so. As for looking for sites, I will try my best to find ones to advertise on for free or rather good rates.

Thanks guys!

If you got more, keep 'em comin'! This could be great help for more than just me!

Uhhh, what I ment by the P.S is this.

In the website's source you have something like so:

Code:
<A
    HREF="venues_sm.html"
    onMouseOver = "rollover('home7')"
    onMouseOut  = "rollout('home7')"
    ><IMG
    SRC="images/venues_button_1_sm.jpg"
    NAME="home7"
    ALT="Contact Information" BORDER=0
    ></A>
This is wrong. The correct way is:

Code:
<a href="venues_sm.html" onmouseover="rollover('home7')" onmouseout="rollout('home7')" title=""><img src="images/venues_button_1_sm.jpg" name="home7" alt="Contact Information" border="0" /></a>
Setting border=0 is nice, but why do that for all images if you can have
img{border:0px;}
in the CSS?

As for the DOCTYPE, I suggest using this at the top of the page:

Code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
Either one of those would work. But XHTML strict is mostly all CSS and no tables, center tags, etc. center doesn't exist in XHTML.... And all tags that don't have a close tag need a / at the end, for example:
<img src="" alt="" />
<br />
<hr />
etc... Oh, and all anchors should have a title and all images should have an alt... Even if they are blank. But try to use them. It helps with accessibility if a person with poor vision comes on the site, their reader program can help guide them.

As for comments....

Code:
<!-- Comment here -->
On second though, it won't work because comments are for human eyes only.

You can add keywords into meta tags... If you never used them before, heres a simple meta tag generator:

META Tag Builder

Just fill in the fields press create and copy the meta tags from the output into the head as shown.

Whoa that's a really good generator. I'm actually going to get to that either tonight or tomorrow night (depends on when I have time).

Thanks!
