|  Found Some Wireless OK, so I am a really bad person. I came down from Cleveland to Columbus to take care of a few things for my mom. Washing machine is toast. Problem is I have no Internet. Just for the hell of it I start the laptop and look for a network. Gee, someone named Linksys had an open network, so here I am. Generally I would not rip off bandwidth but... Hey, I needed to see some washing machines. Thus two small bars later here I am. Six networks and one open. Maybe before I leave I'll find these folks and educate them. Ron   |

I went over to my Mom's house a month or so ago and started up her lappy to check out the internet happenings and WinXP kept popping up a message that another IP address was found on the network. Puzzled by this because I've never seen such a message, I opened up the wireless network connections and saw that hers wasn't secured. I had never secured a wireless connection before, but I finally figured out how to tap into the router's control panel and I just set a password on it. Then what do you know... no more IP address conflict!   |

| Re: Found Some Wireless I figure for a few post and checking appliances online not a big deal. Basically, what I am doing is really sort of wrong but...  I need friggin Internet! I would never do DLs or anything of substance. Ron |
