| Found this on Yahoo just now. There is a drug out now, called Propranolol, which could lessen or even make you forget bad memories. Like the death of a loved one. Or being bullied in grade school. Or even the traumatic events that lead up to and the aftermath of a woman having been raped. There's like 8 clips, which were originally aired on 60 Minutes about the feasibility of using this drug to make people either forget or lessen the impact of bad memories. Some really whacked out stuff. What do you guys think? Would you want to forget or lessen the impact of bad memories, or do you think that bad memories is a normal part of the human psyche which makes us inherently human? Here's the link to the story and 60 Minutes footage. LINK |

| I'm Diggin it! | For some reason, that disturbs me. I'm not quite sure what to think of it. There are some bad memories I'd like to forget, Iraq comes to mind, but I'm not sure I want to take a pill that helps me to forget. I think I'd rather work through them myself with a good counselor rather than take a pill for it. | There's nothing I want to forget. Our memories make us who we are even the bad ones and maybe the bad ones have more influence. |

| I just saw that on TV last night. I don't think I'd ever take it, even if there was a really horrible memory in my head (and there are). I wouldn't want a part of my past taken away, even if it's something bad. We grow and mature from our past. |

| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | Bad memories are a big part of who you are, and the memories of bad things not only shape your personality, they also are a great teaching instrument to keep you from repeating those mistakes.......thinking about it, maybe several people in our government are already taking this drug, as those idiots simply refuse to learn from past mistakes its only the Air Farce INTEL E8400 // Gigabyte EP45 Extreme // 4GB DDR3-1600 // Palit HD 4870 // Antec 1200 // Seagate 750GB HDD // Zalman CNPS9700 // BFG ES 800W PSU Last edited by gvblake22; November 27th, 2006 at 12:16.
