Default eloped! =O

The night before last, my best friend's sister left the house in the middle of the night. She left a note saying she was eloping with her fiancé, and to not bother trying to contact her, although she would be back on Sunday to pick up her stuff.

These kids are 19 years old, and the guy works for minimum wage at Wal Mart. Call me crazy, but this doesn't sound like the ideal situation for marriage, eh?

Now for the worst part: My best friend works at the same place her sister (did) works at. The sister was supposed to work during my graduation ceremony so my friend could attend. Now that she's skipped out on us, my best friend has to work her sister's hours, and is missing the most important day of my life.

WTF!?

Yeah, ditto on that.

Is your best friend a guy or a girl? My best friend can never be a guy... I just don't know why... they always are and always have been girls.

Nearly impossible to have a girl for a best friend and not have sex come up at some point.

Yeah, that's come up... hahahaha.... I"m probably gonna marry one of them anyways, so that's fine... haha....

EDIT: I screwed it up with my first best friend like that too... I started liking her and she didn't want to do that, so we eventually stop talking...

Not to sound trite, but there will be many more days that are even more important. You have to look at it like this. A real friend, even if they can't be there, would be if given the choice. And I'm sure your friend's sister didn't have your graduation penciled in on her calender when she and her B/F made plans to elope.

I was deployed when my wife graduated college. I couldn't attend. She knew if I could be there, I would have been. But these things happen. All part of life. If this is the most aggravating thing to ever happen to you, count yourself blessed.

Yeah, I'm more concerned for them than anything. To be completely honest, neither of them are mature enough to handle that kind of relationship, as they've demonstrated in the past.

A girl. Her name's Angela. I know what you mean, too. I've only had one close friend that's a guy.

Yeah, I suppose so. Like I said, I'm more concerned for them than I am about the graduation. It really stinks, though. I sure hope it all works out for them.

Hate to bring this issue up Yuri, but alot of times when people that young elope, it means they have gotten pregnant. I hope that's not the issue here.

Congrats on graduation mate.

Believe me, I have! She's absolutely beautiful. She's just not that kind of girl, if you know what I mean. Maybe someday, though ;-)

It's funny, today I stopped by the restaurant she works at to get a cup of coffee, and right before I left, I asked, "So how many of the customers comment on how beautiful you are?" She blushed with a big grin, then acted like the walls had ears and told me to just go =P

Honestly, I hadn't thought of that at all. I sure hope that's not the case, but it's within the realm of possibility. It seems odd to me that they would suddenly elope when they were already planning their wedding. They couldn't have picked a worse time, either. heh.
