Default EA/Bioware Drop Mass Effect PC DRM

Quote:
"In a shocking display of clarity and reason, EA and Bioware have made an official announcement that they have decided to drop the draconian every ten day activation fiasco they were intending for PC titles Mass Effect and Spore. Whether this is a reaction to the out of control firestorm this issue became last week, or EA/Bioware growing a collective brain withih the last week we cannot say for certain. It is however, a welcome return to sanity and customer centric thinking within EA/Bioware, and one we applaud them for."

I will believe it when I see it. This is EA we are talking about. the same company that used "data, polls and information from its customers" to create SimCity 5 aka Societies which was released not to long ago and is already in the bargain bins at $20. the same company that said the data received with BF2142 was harmless yet it used that as a form of DRM as well as advertising. The same company that even allowed this nasty form of DRM to be used in the first place.

No thanks, I will believe it when I see it.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

I have a large dislike of EA. They are cheap and make loads of money by making sequal after sequal, remake after remake. The last EA game I really liked was James Pond 3 on the sega megadrive (genisis for you in the US). I wasted many an hour on that game.
