Yep, known that for a while. I always noticed how my teeth felt "rough" after drinking cola when passing my tongue on them. It's hard to explain, but I'm sure someone else felt that at least once too.

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?

Yea it's really noticeable. i don't put much faith in this video simply because the egg was in there for a year and you system will get rid of the cola way before that. But cola is bad for your teeth.

I don't plan on keeping any drink or food of any kind in my mouth for a year...
agreed that sodas/pop/cola is bad for your teeth but q or 2 a day will not hurt them that bad as long as you still brush once or twice a day

Thanks HL and Corsair!

I've actually read this study where a nail will disintegrate after 3 days, a piece of beef after one day.....and know police use the 2 litre bottle to wash blood off of concrete and pavement

I tried the nail thing, was in there for about a week and nothing happend, just a bit of rust. After researching it a bit, it looked like its the raw soda fountain syrup that dissolves nails, not so much the actual drink.

EDIT: Yeah, it says on Snopes that you have to have the pure syrup to even try anything, and even then it won't dissolve a nail in two days, or even a steak. They said that the acids in your stomach, and even orange juice are stronger :-/

how come I can't find the mythbusters episode where they test this myth.
I know they did it. They tried cleaning blood, an engine, and some other things with soda.

Anyway, the reason I don't drink soda is that its absolutely terrible for you, especially American soda. High Fructose Corn Syrup, is quite possibly the worst thing you can consume that's approved for consumption by the FDA.

About 3 years ago I stopped drinking soda, and in less than a year I lost over 13 pounds. I didn't start up jogging, I didn't do any sports that I don't normally do, and I didn't exercise more or less than normal, I just didn't drink soda. Before that I'd have about 3-5 a week, now I have one only when its an A&W Float or mixed with a certain other drink.... ;)

But yea, Soda water is my favorite drink. Its good for me and it tastes delish
