Default Disable memory mapping in BIOS

As many of you know,I have been going crazy trying to find a solution to my webcam problem.I have run across this reading on the Logitech website and thought I would post it here to see what ya'll think.I had no trouble when I first instaled the camera......since then,I added 2GB of memory making it 4GB total. Please read this and give me your take on it.Could this be my problem, and if so,how do I deal with it?Will disabling memory mapping slow other things down....and what is it?
Installation Notes:
  • With the updated MSFT driver framework installation in place, there will now be two driver packages residing under add/remove programs when upgrading to11.5 from an earlier release.
  • Numerous warning messages in the event log are still present.
  • Some Asus motherboards with 4GB of RAM require disabling of memory mapping from BIOS for the QuickCam software to work properly. This issue has been addressed by Microsoft®.
  • A driver only install will not provide the support for 30 fps using Skype, entire installtion of 11.5 is required.
  • Windows Live Mail, is no longer supported (since 11.1) as an option for an email client on the settings pane. This is not a MAPI complaint email client, so pics/vids cannot be sent.
  • Systems that have HD audio (WaveRT) will prevent the AEC (Acoustic Echo Cancellation) from being available to those cameras that support the feature.
  • After installation, review the desired settings on the application pane of the QuickCam installation, to ensure the desired audio in, email client, and other settings are consistent with desired intent and setup.
I understand I dont have an ASUS mobo...but I have to try something.
I probably put this in the wrong area, sry Rich..I figure it as general discussion...thats why I put it here.It covers too many things to split it up and take up space. Im tryin :\

Nope, its fine here.......maybe we'll merge this into your troubleshooting thread if it solves your problem.

If you have the memory remapping feature in your BIOS, you might toggle it off/on to see if that fixes your issue or not.

The system memory that is reported in the System Information dialog box in Windows Vista is less than you expect if 4 GB of RAM is installed
