| If they knew it was stalking the damn dog, why didn't they do anything about it? Or if they had no clue, how in the hell do they now know it was 'stalked'? The snake leave a manifesto or something? Had a restraining order against it? Jeesh. | I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | Reading is your friend: Stuart Douglas, owner of the Australian Venom Zoo in Kuranda, said scrub pythons typically eat wild animals such as wallabies, a smaller relative of the kangaroo, but sometimes turn to pets in urban areas. On a related note, Pythons' behavior is pretty interesting: Python molurus is a solitary species. Mating is the only time that these snakes are commonly found in pairs. Indian pythons will generally move only when food is scarce or when threatened. They may stalk prey, first locating it by scent or by sensing the body heat of the prey with their heat pits, and then following the trail.ADW: Python molurus: Information |
