| Interesting article, Joker. For decades there has been much speculation that the "explosion" may have been the result of an early atomic experiment gone awry. Now we may know for sure. | Why did it explode? It just dosent explode and give off 150 times the amount of radiation that an atomic bomb would for no reason. Model: K7S41GX 1.0 512 MB of Ram | ||||||||||||||

| Thats simple, the heat and friction generated as an object speeds through the Earth's atmosphere. Meteors break up and explode all the time while zipping into the atmosphere, it's a matter of the object heating up intensely and internal pressure building up until it bursts. Many people believe is was a comet due to this, since a comet's structure is usually frozen ice and gases with rocky fragments. And 150 times the amount of radiation of an atomic blast? You realize just how irradiated a zone would be with that much radioactive material floating about? It would be worse then Chernobyl, that entire part of Siberia would have to be quarantined and the surrounding villages abandoned. And I'm pretty sure you can't hide radiation like that from the public, especially with research teams occasionally dropping by to do some testing. | ||||||||||||||
