| Functional Alcoholic | Well Starting Friday night my internet was in and out, until about 9pm then it was totaly out. Saturday it was in and out all morning until about 1pm and it was on and all was good. Then I got called into work for a few hours. I came home and the internet was still working. Then about 5 min later it went out again. Then it stayed out all day sunday. I kept trying to call my ISP but Germans don't work weekends. They don't have an on call guy or anything. So I was SOL until today. I did have a chance to play Quake 4 Single Player. I have had the game since it came out in 05 and never played the SP. I have to say it's pretty good. Also last night the PSU on my wifes computer just went POP for no reason. I smelled it and it was fried. She has a Sony Vaio (Wife won't listen to me) so you can't just use any PSU you have to use one from Sony. I pulled enough dust bunnies out of it to plant a garden (Again wife doesn't listen to me). I am sure the build up of dust was a contributing factor to her PSU blowing up. So I still have no internet (I am at work) The wife is using one of my computers, and now I have to pay for a new PSU that will cost me twice as much as it's worth because my wife had to have a damn Sony Vaio. |

| I don't get it. YOU are the one paying for and maintaining the wife's computer stuff, right? Well, in my books, she has nothing to say about what sort of system she plays around on. Dump the Vaio - where do they get these names? - and set her up with something you find easy to look after and is cheap to upgrade. | Colonel Calamity | I give my wife something functional that works but nothing high end. Right now she has a Dell 8200 P4 1.8GHz with XP Home and she is more than happy with it (until she uses this new E6400 a few times, then will never leave it alone) ![]() ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair!
