Almost any player with power/records in the past few decades has used some sort of enhancing drug, even if they deny it.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

I think that George Mitchell's list was the answer to MLB's drug problems. They can now clean the slate and start over.

Think about it...the list is so massive...we aren't talking about individual player's stats...we are talking about entire teams. They can't go back a decade and take away pennants or World Series wins.

Personally, I think that it is a bunch of BS. Who cares if they took 'roids or HGH? You can take a couple of gallons of the stuff, and it still isn't going to make you throw a 98mph fast ball, catch every fly hit your way, or make you hit balls out of the park. These guys have gifts that can't be acquired by any amount of drugs, or by any amount of practice for most people. So they took something to heal a torn muscle, because they were tired, or even to get that 98mph pitch to 98.5. It really didn't change anything.

You want to make the stats equal to "back in the day"? Make them take buses to the games, etc.

Personally, I couldn't care less about baseball any more. It isn't "America's Pasttime" any more anyway.

Football is getting boring also. I didn't watch one full game this year.

I think he's not guilty; he's just one very gifted ball player.

Mitchell's report was Selig trying to cover his ass from politicians trying to win the soccer mom vote. Congress was going to step in and interrupt his sport, he had this report done to make it seem like he was doing something. And doesn't congress have anything better to do than to care about some morons who'll cut their lives short a few years to make a few extra bucks? Sorry there's something called healthcare, unemployment, and national debt i'd rather see them working on than caring about steroid usage in baseball.

Not to mention if you look at history, baseball has always had cheaters: Gaylord Perry's spitball. He openly admits to it, shouldn't he not be in the Hall of Fame? Its all a bunch of hypocritical comments that again is being used as a political agenda.

As a yankee fan, yes i do think he did it (never did consider him a real yankee), but like i said, what puts fans in the seats? Ridiculous strike out totals and HRs. We watch sports to get away from reality, why the hell does it matter how it comes out. So they all cheat, big deal, better cheat and win than to be like the NY Knicks (who im also a fan of)

(thanks blake!)

I've been listening to the sports shows this morning and the sports reporters on a whole think he's guilty. Funny for a country that has a innocent until proven guilty philosophy that most consider the players guilty even though they haven't been convicted of anything, just going on the testimony of a guy thats facing prison. That being said I think he did steroids too but I don't vote for the hall of fame which is a joke anyway with just a limited amount of so called experts voting for it.
