Default Childhood stories

Ok When I was a stupid kid story time.

When I was a teenager back in the Mid 80’s my brother and I would put gasoline on our bicycle tires. We would then ride down the street, while the other one would light the gas to make it look like the tire tracks from Back to the Future.

Well, one day we wanted bigger flames so we dumped a crap load of gas on my brother’s bike tire. When I lit the gas the flame shot down the street, and his bike tire was engulfed in flames. My brother didn’t even realize it until his seat caught on fire.

Well afterwards we didn’t know what to do with my brother’s torched bike, because we sure as hell couldn’t tell our Dad what we did. So we hide the bike in the garage behind some boxes, and told my Dad that my brother’s bike had gotten stolen.

All was well until about 3 months later when my Dad cleaned out the Garage. He wasn’t too happy when he found the fried Bike behind the storage boxes. It took my brother and I about 2 years to get our bike privileges back.

When I was about eight years old, my dad bought me a swiss-army knife. I was young, curious, stupid, and bored while I was listening to my radio. So I decided to unplug the radio only half way and short-circuit the outlet with my knife. To make a short story short, my room lost electricity and my knife hasn't been the same since :( I'll post a pic when I can.

I'm just glad to be alive!

Does anyone ever stop being a stupid kid? Some of the things I've seen over the years...

Anyway, back when I was maybe 8 or 9 - this was approximately the Pliocene  - I had the bright idea of jumping over the guard rail on an overpass with my sled. I figured the extra 15 feet or so between the guard rail and where the snowy hill started ought to give me a heck of a speed boost. So, I climbed up on the rail, jumped off with my sled under me and...

Well, they just don't make sleds they way they should, alright? I was picking splinters out of my butt for a month afterwards.

Why the heck didn't you dump the bike in the first place? You had a "my bike got stolen" coverup...

Anyways, my stupid story is that when I was about 9 or 10, I used to ride my bike. A lot. So we have this hill behind our house that makes you go pretty fast. I decided I would pedal down the hill as well. So I go down the hill, come off of the sidewalk, and now I'm trying to get back on. The ground isn't even around there, so I just keep hitting the edge of the sidewalk. I decide to brake. Bike flips. I fall off, have a big ol' gash on my leg. At least I was wearing a helmet because I fell straight on my head on the sidewalk when the bike flipped.

Fun fun...

Haha! nice. Let me think....

When I was about 10 or 11, I was at a park with my family. There was a log fence that I was running on. The logs were pretty big so running on it wasn't a spectacular feat. Well, turns out one log was loose. It toppled and I fell off the fence. The log fell on my leg and I had to go to the hospital. I got a hair line fracture on my foot but I didn't need a cast

Ok Old man. Don't hit your head on the steering wheel on the way to work.

Do you not know the difference between steering wheels and brakes?
Are you done with the 4th grade insults now? Can we get this topic back on track?
