| Well seeing as how i'll be making a bit of cash this summer, i've been looking into my sound system. I currently have 2 10" subs and i think a 400 watt amp, its fine and dandy for what it is, but it cant fulfill my need for pounding bass. So being the strange person i am and not knowing anything about car audio, i figured someone on here would have some knowledge on it. My question(s) is whats all the stuff about a good sub, like i look at all these different specs, but i have now idea what they mean. like the difference between dual 2 ohms and dual 4 ohms? Which is better for pushing more air-2 12" or 2 15"? If i were to buy 2 subs of some size, how big of an amp would i need to run them? I am literally in the dark, i mean when i got my current subs, i just told the guys who installed it that i had about $400-500 to spend and i listenned to a lot of rap. They pretty much gave me something that fit that, i still don't know if they are good or not. And people who i knew had subs, i could never really compare them, although that was probably the fault of the caddy, that thing is like a sound barrier. | Cars that have loud bass annoy the hell out of me. I don't want to hear your music. People who have loud stereos are immature, rude, and inconsiderate. Just My Opinion. Last edited by Hitman; May 22nd, 2007 at 08:27. | ||||||||||||||

| Go to crutchfield.com. They are good for all you car audio needs. Also might wanna check out avs.com, they are like this sight but for audio stuff. I would rather read a NewEgg review than a [H] review | ||||||||||||||

| I am shure that between AVS.com and Crutchfield.com will be able to help you. Also, I too dislike it when someone pulls up six cars back with a radio playing some foulmouthed fool at full volume, talking about the things they do. I just flip a switch on my dash and fire up my 4000 watts of external sounds in the bed of my pick up, and they then hear MY Christian Praise music. Amazing how they seem to turn their's down after that !!! heeheehee. Can't beat them, So, I "Beat Them Down!!" | ||||||||||||||
