I have seen a few of these... also heard it can clog air filters and ruin unsealed electronic equipment within a matter of minutes...

No they really look like that, I have pictures I took when I was there. For some reason when the sandstorms hit in the middle of the day it turns the skies blood red. When I get home I will post my pictures.

Nope, that was right off the camera in auto mode. I have 3 or 4 others of the same storm plus multiple pictures. I'll post another one here in a bit that shows me walking down a hallway and everything is normal color until I get to the door leading outside.

When the storm started coming in I ran outside to get some pictures



This was taken out front of our building



Notice the blood red sky in the windows



Not even a sand storm can take guys away from their games

yeah ive seen one myself. i happened to be at the PX when our storm rolled in. its kinda crazy seeing half the sky perfectly clear and blue and the other half this angry red. one minute the sky is clear and blue, then all of a sudden its almost like its dusk with the sun setting, just not as dark.
