Default Check out my new camera

Well, Just got this for my birth day to day. A Canon PowerShot S3 IS. It's hands down the best camera I have ever owned, or used. Here's some pictures of the S3, taken with my old Camera. I don't have any nice pictures taken with the S3 to share though

Here's some not so great Macro shots. I'm still learning how to use the camera.

I'd be interested in the Sporting action abilities of this camera. My Sony is a decent enough camera, but I want to get something that does a better job of white balance.

The Shutter time is adjustable between 15 seconds to 1/1600th of a second. Is that what you mean? I'll read up some more on the manual later, and see if I can get back to you on that

This link may be helpful: S3 IS Review

This site has very nice and extensive reviews. This is the exact camera I've been looking to purchase.

Sweet camera man! Get some better lighting and those macro shots will likely turn out better. Also, try taking them from straight on instead of at such a sharp angle, that way more of the image will be in focus (unless that was the effect you were going for).

Well a Happy Birthday. Sweet birthday present, enjoy it! I am sure it will yield many great pictures. Great camera!

I was going to have my old Nikon Coolpix 990 fixed and give it to my daughter but you have me thinking. Maybe I will get her one of those nice Canons.

Ron
