I saw that today on Fox, and it makes me sick.....but i think we'll see a lot of things over the next couple years that will rival that.......just wait, we'll see veterans benefits being cut, or older veterans being told they aren't as disabled as they were, etc...in an effort to save the government money.

So basically the government is now self mutilating in order to preserve itself. This is cold hearted on the highest level, and as Rich said I think we'll see it only get worse.

It is sad, as this government is pretty much self destroying this great country!!!! I have a very strong feeling that unless the United States citizens gather as a whole, which will be damn near impossible, and create a "revolution" against our government, we are in a world of hurt in the next 5 to 10 years!!! "We the People" need to stand up and take BACK our country, and let the government know, and I mean know, that they work for US!!!!! This crap of the government control, yep, control is completely Un fricking ACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!
Damn the government and the crap that they pull, and think that the American people will stand for this forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And they are already working on it to correct this issue. It has happened plenty of times before. The computers aren't programmed correctly and this is the result. Or the bonus begins and all the paperwork....ie...thought, hasn't gone into it.

Give them time to react. Our Soldiers won't be paying their bonuses back.

Gheeez. Next thing we see:

U.S. Government demands boy, 11 years old, to serve in the place of his 41 y/o father who was killed in Iraq. The boys father had 4 more years on his enlistment and the Army is looking for that mans son to finish up the time. However, being the gracious organization they are, the Army is allowing the boy to first finish the 6th grade and spend the summer at home getting over of being afraid of the dark.

There was a glitch similar to what Quake is describing about a year ago....they were charging wounded soldiers and the families of killed soldiers for the replacement cost of TA-50 (You issued gear).......that was a glitch.....according to Fox News, this one is a glitch too....but it doesn't make it any better, or easier that these kids had to involve the media to get a resolution.
