| Ugh. You would think that quarterbacks by now would realize that coming back from retirement to play for another team is the worst thing you can do. Personally, I feel that, especially with high profile players like Favre and Montata, they should retire on a positive note and not come back to play just so they can go out on a negative note with a loser team. Simply put, I want to remember my favorite players as they were and what team they played for as a professional. Not as "traitors" a la Montana with Kansas City. | I'm Evil | Well, I don't think Favre wants to remember a Hall Of Fame career that ended when he singlehandedly gave away the NFC Championship Game....seriously, he was the Giants MVP. | Ouch. I had forgotten about that. Well... I guess time will only tell. I've never been a Favre fan (or a Packer fan for that matter), so it matters not to me. I just hate seeing a "celebrated" quarterback go the route that other great football players have done upon their retirement... and fail miserably. |

| I don't see that it matters all that much. If he still has the desire to play and a team wants him then where's the problem? Farve still had a great career. Montana when he went to KC it was what he needed to do for himself not for the fans and they both earned that right. It's not like a team is taking them without a need for them. From what I see in QB's in the NFL there's more than one team that could use him. |

| Colonel Calamity | I suspect he realized he would be so bored retired and didn't want to become a Hall of Famer "as seen in commercials" type of player (like we're seeing with the past 2 decades worth of HOF players) so better he play to stay in the game and not get sucked into the TV commercial type quite yet... regardless how he actually plays... he is in it for the love of the game, win or lose ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair!
