| I got a ringtone e-mailed to me, and have been told that i can send it to my phone using bluetooth. I asked on another forum, and have been told to "search about the control panel". Can anyone tell me how to to do this/what part of the control panel to look please ? I have windows Vista home premium. Thanks in advance....Huck. | I don't have any experience with Bluetooth devices, but you probably need some kind of Bluetooth adapter/transmitter to connect to your computer in order to send the signal to your phone (probably some kind of USB device). Did your phone come with anything like this? | ||||||||||||||

No. I've had a look at these devices since posting the thread, and i've dwecided just to buy a CA-53 cable, and connect my phone to my computer direct. It'll save money, and i don't really have any other uses for any adaptor to justify buying one. | blue teeth? ![]() seriously... usually a direct cable or USB-bluetooth adapter is needed to transfer stuff. In most cases the cable is cheaper ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! My opinions are my own and not representative of this site or its members. | ||||||||||||||

| Um, depends on your carrier too. Like Verizon locks all transferring via bluetooth for their phones, and you can't send ringtones directly to your phone, they want you to buy from them. | ||||||||||||||

| That's why I love Cingular (aka:AT&T) Their phones have the most open OS's ever. On my razr, I could do ANYTHING. I could transfer a full mp3 (if it fit >.>) via bluetooth even if it was from iTunes and use it as a ringtone Same thing with my Cingular blackberry. I enjoy having a bluetooth dongle though. I can sync up my WiiMote and use it on my pc as a controller, and I can transfer files between my laptop and desktop w/o using a thumbdrive. I bought one at Fry's for $5 (sale) and one online for $15 cuz the one I got a fry's didnt work with Linux. | ||||||||||||||
