| May it not come to this: Quote:
My life here is hell just when the Yankees are in town. Should the series come to the Mets and Indians I have to support the Mets. Ron | |

| Tigers have bigger holes than the yanks do, why does everyone think they gonna be that great. Their offense is on par or a little better than the yanks, but their pitching is worse, they have a worse bullpen with Rodney and Zumaya hurt, and Jones as shaky as Kyle Farnsworth is in a game that matters. I'd say AL East is Yanks (yes im a yankee fan but the redsox have the same unproven pitching past #1 that the yanks got), Central goes to the Indians, West to the Angels of Anaheim with the Wild Card the Red Sox. NL East is gonna go Mets (rebound year even though they suck), Central Brewers, West Rockies with the Braves as the Wild Card (proving that smoltz stays healthy). World Series as usual from NY it'll be Mets v Yankees, but in all honestly it'll probably be Yanks v Braves since the Mets'll just choke it away in the NL Championship. |

| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | The Tigers only weakness is their bullpen, they are a superior team to the Yankees, younger, and healthier. | I don't see how the Tiger's starting Staff is superior to the Yanks if we want to use them as the barometer: Verlander's a stud, but he's equal in terms of wins to Wang (even though he's vastly better than Wang, Wang'll still be up for 19 wins which is what Verlander'll give you) so its a push there. Bonderman and Pettite? i'd take Pettite over Bonderman. Rodgers vs Hughes? i'd have to give it to Hughes. Robertson and Kennedy, i'll give it to Robertson only because of the experience factor. Mussina and Willis, I'd say a push there too because if you've seen Willis' stats in the past 2 yrs, it just seems he's declining, and don't forget those numbers were posted in the NL, which we can all agree is the pitcher friendly league. Lineup? i'd say its a push or hell the yanks have the superior lineup. We can go by position, but i mean 3B, LF, CF as constituted right now are pushes. Cano's better than Polanco, at 1B i'd say the tigers have the advantage mainly because Giambi's a question mark still, but if he plays like he has in spring training, it'll be a push. Catcher i'd have to say posada's a better hitter than pudge (should get back on the juice and get pudgy again). DH is tigers because Sheffield is just better than Matsui. Right field Ordonez is better than Abreu. I'd say Jeter's better than Renteria at SS. And honestly if we wanna get technical, i'd take Arod over Cabrera at 3B. So its pretty much a push in terms of Offense. Bullpen, both have questionmarks up to the 8th. If zumaya and rodney come back soon, then the tigers'll have the better middle relief, but Todd Jones imo is a VERY shaky closer. They'd be better off having Zumaya close. I'd take Joba and Mariano over Zumaya and Jones (maybe because of Jones) btw Rich i agree with you, THANK GOD BASEBALL's Back, hopefully we can get some nice discussions here so im not bored outta my mind at work (which i still have to figure out how imma listen to the yankee game tomorrow at work...) ![]() Asus Rampage Formula Q9450 @ 3.8 Ghz Thermalright Ultra 120 Black Edition 4gb GSkill 1066 DDR2 1 WD Velociraptor 150GB 1 500GB Seagate 7200.10 2 1TB Seagate 7200.11 EVGA GTX260 Core 216 Silverstone ST85F Coolermaster Cosmos 1000 Samsung TOC T240HD Last edited by azianai; March 30th, 2008 at 19:37. |
