With the switch to Intel chips, Apple's completely abandoned their old processors. They've even re-written their operating system for the change. Why would Microsoft later adapt to the old hardware?

Nope. Windows won't ahve the first clue how to run on Apple hardware from before the switch to intel chips. Sorry bud.

The G1-G5 were Power PC based processors, not even x86, wich is what intels used. HOWEVER microsoft did release a PPC version of NT3.5.1, but that OS is so old and has 0.000001% support from the masses

Ok, well I don't know squat about Macs. So I didn't know if the one he found on e-bay happened to have an intel processor or not (the original poster did not specify). But I guess if Lead Head says so, it MUST be true! :flame:

ok so this G5 has---
Two dual-core 2.5GHz PowerPC G5 processors
1.25GHz frontside bus per processor
1MB L2 cache per core

2GB of 533MHz DDR2 SDRAM (PC2-4200)

250GB hard drive
16x SuperDrive (double-layer) DVD RW

NVIDIA GeForce 6600 with 256MB GDDR SDRAM

is this , err would this run bootcamp>? Cause this is sorta what i could need for future music usage.

EDIT:::::
Crap . . . i feel like such an idiot, its not the Mac Pro version, its the one previous to it, so it doesnt contain an intel processor :(
