| All the parts are in... Having to ship from 3 or 4 seperate locations, Newegg got all the parts I need for my sister's new system to me in a little under a week. I guess that's pretty good. I got the last delivery of parts yesterday, so now I guess I can start the build any time now, depending on how I feel. I've been a under the weather lately, so I'll have to see how it goes.
The only thing that ticks me off a bit is that the case she wanted didn't come with any instructions whatsoever, so I'll probably have to take the front of the case off to see what's what as far as some of the panel wiring goes - Like which wires are for the front mounted fan controller and whether the front lights have one set of wiring or two, since I can't be sure just by looking at it. Other than that, I think everything will be straight forward. I'm still decidng if I want to move the rear mounted 80mm fan to the front and put a 120mm on the back. If it were mine, I definately would, but it's not, so it might be a judgement call. I've read some reviews to the effect that the CPU temp sensor (which also has no clear instructions) doesn't reach the CPU very well, so maybe I'll try putting it on the HDD.
It's funny, because it's been nearly two years since I put my system together, and now I finally get to do another one - just not for me. If it's not fixed, then don't broke it! |
