Default 6 to 7 inches

Thats how much snow we got here last night and yes I know what you were thinking when you saw the title.

Anyway I just spent 2 hours snow blowing and shoveling along with the wife and kid. Here's a pick out the computer room window into the back yard.

Bellaire, Michigan is in the northern lower penninsula of Michigan (about the 45th parallel). We can get lake effect from Lake Michigan or from the other large lake between us and Lake Michigan called Torch Lake.

I am very suprised it hasn't snowed yet this year here in Germany. We are supposed to get snow this week. We shall see.

Got a friend I grew up with who now lives in Germany married to a German National. She keeps sending me pictures of the snowless Alps. Really strange to see the Apls in December less snow.
