Cool, sounds like a fun time even though you lost 100 dollars... We have a racetrack near my house - maybe 15 minutes away - I might have to pay a visit there some time. Where did you lose your money? Slots or the track?

I was on a cruise, went to the casino and played blackjack and 3 card stud. won $30, then $60, and so on until I got to about $150. Then I played texas hold 'em and lost it all :P

I've always looked at it like this (Living in Vegas gives me an advantage).

If you were meant to win, then those casinos wouldn't be in business too long, and they definitely wouldn't be as big or nice as they are, or offer all those comped drinks and meals.

Having said that, we go down to the Strip 1-2 times a year, if we have friends in town or something, or if there is an event we want to see.

Exactly, I don't know why people bet $763873643 dollars on a single hand of blackjack. Gambling is for fun IMO, the only person really winning is the casino.

it was only the slots..... we didn't venture to the tracktrack part, im not even sure there were races. We played the nickles, quarters, and dabled in the dollar slots..... they oly have slot machines there no card tables or anything liek that, just slots.

we have a big casino here (big to my standards) where they have everyting, full fledge casino, but i never go. Id rather spend 2 hours browseing the online store at Direct Canada or NCIX for computer parts, filling up my shopping cart, looking at the final cost..... cry..... then empty the cart and go to another store and do it again!!!! LOL... sad I know.......

btw capper, got any suggestions on the local casinos to hit up for the good deals (dinner etc). Normally when I go, i stay at the MGM grand (overpriced pos) cause my dad's a high roller and i use his status =D. But I'm lookin for some new stuff since "the strip" is pretty boring to me now that you go twice a yr lol

(thanks blake!)

I am a blackjack person, statistically, you have your best odds of winning with it... all the rest are ways to make the casino win (unless you have a good poker face).

Thanks HL and Corsair!
