eh, polls like that are stupid.....and very biased. you can tell by the fact that people chose the most recent Presidents, regardless of party.

Sadly, if people remember back to their US History, American Government, or Civics classes, they probably know more about the guys on this list, and the effects they had on the country, than any of the recent Presidents.

Its also sad that people talk about President Bush (Sr), Clinton, and Bush (Jr) as the worst ever....yet don't point out Presidents responsible for slavery, the Civil War, the Great Depression, WWI/WW!!/Korea/Vietnam, etc........this country is full of sheep.

Personally I don't think Bush senior or Clinton were that bad. I had our present white house occupant along with Carter who was a terrible leader and Millard Fillmore. Nixon was a pretty good president but he got caught doing things he shouldn't have so he gets a bad rap.

Totally agree with you there, I mean if you wanna take it from a historic standpoint, Thomas Jefferson was one of the worse presidents in terms of how people are rating Bush. Jefferson was one of the biggest hypocrites, saying he wanted power in the states and not federal, but making the louisiana purchase (hey a good thing but still) while being involved with actually allowing more power to the federal level than when he was voted in. I personally think however the worse president is carter, and it befuddles me how people still listen to what he says even now, i mean his latest book is the worse piece of literature i've ever read -_-. And his belief that iran would never attack israel is just moronic, i mean seriously, does the speeches by Ahmadinejad condeming the jewish state mean nothing? Is he just bluffing? I'm not trying to defend the war, or say Iran is wrong per say (ok fine i think they are trying to get nuke techs to sell to terrorists, personal belief with no real evidence) but to have one of our former presidents act so anti-american, thats just a bit unsettling. I wonder if there was a worse senator pole, would Ted Kennedy be #1?
