Finished are those dreams of Fiji being a major Service Pack 1 for Vista: a Microsoft spokesperson has just announced that Windows Vista won't be having any major upgrades through its service packs as XP's previous service packs were.


Reasons that Microsoft gave mainly revolve around Vista being a high quality operating system right out of the box, as well as small updates improving the system gradually thanks to a new integration of Windows Update into the core system. The company also believes that a lightweight service pack will benefit both enterprises and individual users, since fewer major changes to the system's core will also reduce compatibility issues as well as prevent performance problems that users have historically been complaining about after Windows service pack releases.

Umm...I think this person is just spewing BS. First he says that XP won't have SP3, and now he says Vista wont' get any either! Its already been said that the service pack will bring some big updates. Microsoft would NOT just blow that much programming away on nothing.

yes KazNews is full of it.... I refuse to believe anything they say anymore based on the number of these stories posted here and reading a few others directly from the site.
