Definitely your videocard then. Depending on the games you play, (BF2 and Supreme Commander come to mind) you may want to add another 1GB of RAM as well. Especially if you intend to get a new videocard and start playing DX10 games with Vista.

do you have a price range?

If you want a videocard that is more expensive and more powerful and has DX10, i'd say the 8800GTS is a good choice. Or you could always wait until the R630 comes out.

Then of course you have a cheaper option like the 7900GS or the x1950pro that is much cheaper but only DX9.

For more "response" I'd say you should overclock your D805. They can overclock quite a bit. You could probrably get that sucker to 3.2-3.4 even 4ghz if you had good cooling.

E2140 @ 375 x 8 = 3.0ghz
2x1 ocz system 1337s pc2-6400 5-5-5-15 @ 450mhz
gigabyte P35 S3L
eVGA 7600GT Stock
120 gig seagate
ULTRA X-Finity 600w
Sonata 2 w/ top fan
G5 Lazer Mouse

Your budget makes the biggest difference on what Video Card you get.

That Value Ram might hold him back from those speeds
