Exclamation Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down Thread

Let's list all the places where we can buy PC parts and/or machines, and rate them here.

Thumbs Up Vendors
NCIX.com
Canada Computers

Neutral Vendors
Staples

Thumbs Down Vendors
HP - It's been a month and a half since I sent my PC in for repairs, and it still isn't fixed and returned for pick-up!

How do you rate the vendors out there

Luckily I have not really had any bad experiences buying online, probably because I do a little research before I make a purchase.
Newegg
MWave
eWiz
Jab-Tech
Performance-PC's
SVC
Sidewinder Computers

ResellerRatings is a great resource for judging the quality of online stores. The HardwareLogic links page has a great list of sites as well...

Yep, expecially since NewEgg doesn't ship to Canada.

They go on my Neutral list. TigerDirect.ca gets this honor as well, because great prices, but no shipping to Post Office Boxes, unlike NCIX which gets a .

A pretty subjective topic. Everyone's experiences will be different based not only on geographic influences, but individual shipping company faults/bumbling and the particular worker that handles your order.

Here in the States, Newegg is the litmus test by which all other companies are judged. I've ordered from eWhiz, Monarch, Tigerdirect and Mwave. Without fail, Newegg has been the best company I've dealt with.

Q6600@ 3.2GHz w/ CNPS9700 | EVGA 780i | 2Gb Corsair DDR2-800 | EVGA 9800GTX 512 Video | 1x WD 640Gb HDD, 2x Seagate 400Gb HDD, 1x250Gb WD | 2x Samsung SH-203B Opticals | Antec 900 | ABS/Tagan BZ700 700W PSU

Even being in Germany I get my stuff from Newegg in a week or less. Other places take 2 weeks or more. Newegg is also by far the easiest to deal with, when you have to RMA.

I agree with NCIX

Canada Computers

They're really good with returns and very smooth service, especially at the newer stores.

Direct Canada

U Computers

Factory Direct = Neutral

And when's Newegg going to start shipping to us eh Eagle?
