Default System Watt Calculator - PSU

There was a thread started by someone (can't remember who it was) that posted a link to a website that allowed you to use drop down menus and such to figure out the total wattage of your system. This allowed you to have an idea about the kind of PSU you should buy to support your build. Does anyone have that link handy by chance? I'd like to bookmark it.

Thanks! =)

That's good. The other PSU calc I used to use back in my Dell days never got updated.

Snap... With that X1900XT, I'm recommended to have 401W...

I have a 375W PSU (avg.). It's about 450W at peak... At least that's the way Dell has done it for the old PSUs... I assume the same for the new.

I was just looking at this thing last night, and after giving all the info it needed, (for my system as it is) it said I should have about 622 watts on the PSU - this includes accounting for the overclock wattage.

But I only have a 560W (advertised continuous rating) PSU, and everything runs fine, overclock and all. The number (622) included wattage for a total of 6 USB ports, even though 4 of them are on a PCI card, and for the card itself, which is the only other card on the mobo besides the video card. For giggles, I took off for the OC, the card and its 4 USB ports - still allowing for 2 panel ports - and the number dropped to 522W, well below my rating.

So, this leaves me wondering how accurate this thing is.

If it's not fixed, then don't broke it!

The USB is for devices charged from USB, not the number of ports you have. Plus, the calc is defaulted to show under load.
