Default safely remove hardware problem

when I click on the "safely remove hardware" icon on the right of the taskbar, my hard drive and dvd drive show up on there. Shouldn't there be only stuff like my flash drives and card readers, etc? and how can I change it so my hard drive and stuff don't show up?

My HDD shows up there also, I wouldn't worry about it. Just don't click it, or it won't see your HDD.

that means your systems allows for hot swappable SATA drives without the need to shut down your computer. It didn't do it with my system but If I install t as a removable drive then it does the same on my system.

Besides, you wouldn't be able to remove the drive Windows is running on.
If it really bothers you, I can give you a registry tweak that will hide what is plugged on the Nvidia SATA so it won't appear there anymore.
