| Hi! I am in the market for a new TV to replace the old one I got from my bro after he got his new 19" flatscreen (with HDMA for his PS3 :P). I will be connecting a PS3 to it in the future, and it will stay in the bedroom when I get my own place (to be eventually hooked up to this PC). Anyone got any good recommendations for a new TV for me? Min. specs: at least 21", RCA jacks (at least 1 set for my movie/DVD player and my GameCube), HDMA ports (2 at least), not that deep (current TV is on top of a dresser and takes alot of space!) Thanks in advance! WhiteEagle ![]() | ||||||||||||||

| is that price CAD or USD? also are you looking to buy from a major retailer or online or maybe just a authorized store. Like here in queens NY there are authorized Sony Dealers that'll sell the older (last yr) model sony 32inch LCD's for 700 out the door (cash only ofcourse). At your price range, you'll probably just be looking at 720P/1080i, but tbh you won't really see a difference between 720p and 1080p. I'd stay away from Vizio, Olevia, Toshiba personally because i find their color quality just doesn't work well. Panasonic's Plasma TV's are an option because right now they are being liquidated out (plasma is being discontinued soon). LCD's i'd look at Sharp, Sony, Samsung. My family has a Sharp 52 inch Aquos in our den and it looks absolutely stunning. We also got a 46 inch Sony XBR in our living room, that color looks absolutely superior to the Aquos, but it also costs my dad $2800 while the aquos cost $2000. | ||||||||||||||

Here's a couple of links to help you out. This web site is addictive and extremely informational when it comes to all things AV. I highly recommend this site as I have spent more than enough time scouring through its forums when I bought my HDTV set. Do your research, and go through these links; you will only do yourself a favor in the long run. =) AVS Forum LCD Flat Panel Displays - AVS Forum Display Devices - AVS Forum | |||||||||||||||

| Thanks all. I believe I will be purchasing from either Wal-Mart or Superstore in town, so the price range is in Canadian dollars (that's about .98 USD to every loonie ).I've been looking at the 28 - 32 inch screens...most look great, but not all have HDMI and RCA together. ![]() ![]() | ||||||||||||||
