| Functional Alcoholic | I wasn't sure if this should go here or in Mods and Ends. It's more of a Computer build then a mod project (right now anyways) so I figured it would fit here better. Over the past couple of months I have been buying, trading, and acquiring computer parts for my 2nd Rig. In the process I bought another case and PSU. So now my Blue Full Tower Cheiftec w/PSU is sitting empty. I can't just let a case sit there empty so I bought this on Ebay. I know its not high speed but it will serve its Purpose. So I will be basically building/rebuilding 3 computers simultaneously. You can see my Sig for my Main Rig's current configuration. When I am done all three computers will be as follows. MAIN RIG Lian Li PC75 AMD 64 X2 4400 Corsair XMS 2 GB DDR, EVGA Nvidia Geforce 7900GT CO Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum, ASUS A8N32 SLI Deluxe (Trade) Enermax Liberty 500w (New) Plextor PX-708 Plextor Plexwriter Premium, Western Digital 74 GB 10 K RPM SATA Raptor drive 4 x Western Digital 250 GB 7200 RPM SATA in Raid 5 RIG #2 (Linux Box) Cooler Master Wavemaster Silver (New) AMD 64 3700 (Trade) ASUS A8N SLI Premium EVGA Nvidia Geforce 7600GT CO (New) Enermax 550W Whisper II 1GB Gskill DDR Pioneer CD/DVD-R Dual layer Combo WD 320 GB HD SATA (New) SERVER Blue Chieftec Dragon Full Tower Dual Athlon MP 1200 CPUs Tyan Tiger S2460 Dual CPU MB Nvidia Quadro 2 64mb AGP 512mb Viking PC2100 ECC Enermax 350W PSU WD 200 GB HD IDE Still need a DVD drive for this Rig I will post pics of all three builds. Should be fun. Last edited by Hitman; November 13th, 2006 at 10:37. |

I have always wanted a Dual CPU Rig. They are just cool. I don't really need Dual CPUs in this Rig, but then again I don't need 2 more computers either :) | |

| The Real Final Word | I can dig it hitman. I purchased a dual p3 taulitin with all the SCSI drives for a server, and man, it runs MS server 2003 real good!! The dual p3's are the 1.133mhz chips. I just need to find a 32 bit PCI pro card somewhere. Not sure who in the world would be still have any of them in stock They were fairly hard to find 8 or 10 years ago. |
