Does your board have an AGP slot? I'd go AGP over PCI anyday.

Personally, I prefer the passive heatsinks, so I would choose this PCI video card. USB ports are a pretty basic thing, I'm sure that one will probably work fine. For the sound card, I would choose one from a company that is likely to have updated drivers that work well with XP and Vista. Creative, Turtle Beach, Diamond, and Siig are all companies I've heard of before, but Creative and Turtle Beach are probably going to be your best bets (at least at the low end).

I used a AudigySE and it delivered good sound at the $30 pricepoint. Well worth it if your running XP, under Vista and the drivers make you cry.

I've sold the first two items and none came back but 1-3 USB card (on approx. a 150).

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?

Your original post. The two first items. I used to work in a computer boutique and I've sold over a hundred of this exact model of PCI USB cards, little came back.
