I just stumbled across the "Eggxpert" forums and online tech community and thought I would share this little discovery with everyone. Looks like it is still in beta stage, but an interesting idea. I never thought I would see Newegg start a forum community!

Yea. The first 20,000 members that sign up get the title "founding member" :P

I got a feeling that for a little while it will be difficult for the egg to control flamers and such, and that the place will be lawless for a little bit since everyone will be flooding in.

Oh, and I got the email for the place I never could connect to the server it was so flooded.

They have a Politics and Religion section. Those forums are borked from the get go.

It pains me to say it....but the days of review sites and forums are nearing an end. Now every company and retailer are building their own forums......and many manufacturers are basically cutting review sites out of the process.....They don't want to chance someone posting something negative about their products. (I'm not saying every company, just many of them).

I think they way we present our reviews, with the belief that there are few bad products.....and the focus on who should be interested in a product is honest to the consumers and fair to the companies. hopefully that approach will keep us going.

me too! because think about the reviews you read on new egg, do you really want those jokers telling you what to buy? I am with this site till the bitter end, be it tomorrow or 30 years from now.

We aren't going anywhere.....until the wife has me put down.

As long as we can cover most of the costs for the site, and right now we're getting about half of what the site costs....we'll keep going.

Its hard to keep a site running and keep people interested without review samples coming in
