Default Icon Text appears as a hyperlink-look, wanna ditch

I just got a hammiedown laptop and its a Sony Vaio with XP Home

It has this annoying thing where when you mouse-over an icon it underlines the text as if it were a hyperlink, and it only requires one click to run the app.

I want it to not underline and require a double click to work.

Where in tha control panel is it?

Open My Documents, choose Tools / Folder Options. Under the General tab Click Items As Follows, make sure Double Click to open an item is checked. That will get you started.

Not sure on the mouseover features but have to get going to work. I am sure someone will have that solution.

Ron

Actually, that will fix both of them! If you look under single click, it has "UnderLine Icon Titles When Clicked On", when you select double click, it de-selects both of those.
