Default HTML Help: Experienced coders read

I'm creating a new website for a LAN Party I run and I've encountered a little problem...
Here is the site: The Home of VGILAN: Vancouver's Gaming Invitational
The site is incomplete still and the links are broken but my question doesn't have to do with any of that.

If you look in the middle and right column, there is a spacing in between the header and the first column header. I want to make these two columns like that left one (column header should touch the banner) If anybody who knows anything about html could help me out in eliminating this space I'd appreciate it.

The code can be viewed by right click > view source.

Thanks.

edit: btw, the site doesn't view correctly with IE. I will need to fix that as well.

I'm not experienced, but the HTML validater reported 34 errors

Result for http://vgilan.awardspace.com/index2.html - W3C Markup Validator

Some of them might be your problem.
