Default How do I find out the socket set-up on a mobo?

Hi guys, my G/F's PC is playing up and I'm sure its the CPU fan thats the culprit. I need to change it but don't know what socket she has on the mobo. How can I find that out?

tell us the motherboard, and we'll tell you the socket, or even just go into Windows, right click on "My Computer" and tell us what that says

Also a small easy to use program called CPU-z will help tell this too

it looks like the name for the mobo is Foxconn 865a01-pe

Thanks guys, just ordered a new CPU fan for the PC, hopefully it'll keep it going a little longer until the next problem rears its ugly head....

Just to let you know, its a Zalman CNPS770000 120mm fan, now my G/F's PC is officially better than mine ....ah well
