Default The grad build!

I graduate HS on the 17th, and I think you guys know what I will do with the grad moneyz :D

Newegg.com - EVGA 320-P2-N815-AR GeForce 8800GTS 320MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card - Retail - $300 -- Was disappointed in ATi

Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Duo E6320 Conroe 1.86GHz 4M shared L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor - Retail - $168

Newegg.com - MSI P965 Platinum LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail - $132.99

Newegg.com - CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail - $129

Newegg.com - Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail - $139.99

Newegg.com - JPAC ATX500 ATX 500W Power Supply 115/230 V UL, CB, CE, TUV, and FCC - OEM - $10, this is where I will save money

Ok, so that JPAC PSU was just a cruel joke :P Real PSU -

Newegg.com - OCZ GameXStream OCZ600GXSSLI ATX12V 600W Power Supply 100 - 240 V CB/CE/CSA/UL/FCC - Retail - $129.99

$994.96

So what do you think? This is all subject to change, I might buy a cheap 7600GT or something if I can't afford the 8800, and save up. I might step up to a E6400 as well. Some of parts in my current rig will be recycled, such as the X-Fi xtrememusic card and the HDD/optics.

I wouldn't buy that Power Supply, thats not a area to save money on when your going to run the system you have listed. I doubt that it will power the vid card.

Looks like a very nice build. Have you considered the Gigabyte 965-based boards? The DS3 rev 3.* is a real nice oc'er, and very stable and a few dollars less than the MSI board.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ Toledo @2211.3 MHz
MS-7125 Rev 1.0 nForce4 K8N-Neo4 Plat
Phoenix 6.00 PG 05/22/2006 BIOS

nVidia XFX GF8800GT 512 DX9c
Samsung SyncMaster 930B
1 x WD800JB / 2 x WD2000JD
HP DVD640

Why are you ditching your P180 for a Nine Hundred? I would keep your P180 and invest the saved $$ in a 6420 upgrade and a new mouse or heatsink or something...

I'm sure you would keep my P180 :P

Well I'm still going to keep the old build :D I figured I could use the additional space and cooling with the 900, the older PC is going to be converted into a media center, I'll only need a new HDD for it.

EDIT -
