| I have 2 8800's in SLI as some of you are already aware, and each card has its own power cable running direct from PSU to the cards (4 all together). My Evga motherboard has a 4 pin connector for additional power when running graphic cards.... Do I need to use this connection aswell with the SLI setup? Currently I am not, will it hurt anything if I do or dont use this ? anyone, anyone... :) thanks http://pic18.picturetrail.com/VOL888.../278598683.jpg E6600 Dual Core @3.4GHZ (1511 FSB)@1.325volts 2x 8800 GTX KO ACS3 PCI-E 630MHZ 768MB 2.0GHZ Raptor 74GB WD Caviar 250GB HD Antec 1200 Hundred Case 4 gigs of Corsair XMS2 TWIN -6400C4 2GB DDR2-800 CL 4-4-4-12-2T 680I SLI LGA775 MOBO Samsung DVD+RW Enermax Galaxy 1000 wats PSU Zalman 9700 LED cpu fan 24" Samsung SynMaster Cooling: Swiftech Dual rad Swiftech Micro Res Swiftech Apogee GT Cpu block 2x Koolance 8800 GTX Full Coverage Water blocks Feser One Blue Fluid |

| If it is running without it, I wouldn't worry about it to much, but I would plug it in just to be safe Opteron 64 165--1.5GB DDR--ECS KA1 MVP(thanks HL!)--x1800GTO 256MB--Seagate 320GB SATA--Antec 550 Watt--Antec P180 |

| HL's Technomancer | That molex connector is there to supply additional power to a SLi setup so the current stays more or less even during high loads with all those amps being drawn. You don't need it if your PSU is strong enough, but I would plug it in just so you're sure that you're well juiced and the rails the 8800's are connected to stay stable. |
