Default Deciding on a New Build

Motherboard= EVGA 680i A1 Newegg.com - EVGA 122-CK-NF67-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i LT SLI ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

CPU = Q6600 or E6850
HD = 500 gb samsung
Video Card = EVGA 640mb
Memory = XM2 2x 1gb 800
PSU = I got this because of easy cable management. Newegg.com - Thermaltake W0106RU Complies with ATX 12V 2.2 & EPS 12V version 700W Power Supply 100 - 240 V CE, CB, TUV, FCC, UL, CUL, and BSMI certified - Retail
Cooler = gemin II since most member here recommend this.
DVD burner = Lite-on

I cant decide on the motherboard and cpu. Also the total cost is around 1800. I'm planning to oc q660, is it the same as p5w-dh where they have program that can oc for you?

Very nice build! I'd go with the Q6600 'cause it's a quad-core and you can just OC it...

Usually you have to go into the BIOS and OC manually. It's the best and most reliable way (IMO), but it does take a bit of learning.

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 + Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme
DFI Blood Iron P35-T2RL + Thermalright HR-05 IFX
2GB G.Skill 800MHz F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ
EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 320MB
Silverstone Decathlon 650W
Western Digital 250GB SATA II

there are programs that will do it for you, but the reliability level isn't the best out there.
BIOS all the way. You'll get a better, more stable OC that you have more control over. You'll also learn a new skill that pays off big time when your cheap chip smokes thousand dollar pieces of silicon

I'd change one thing: Get this memory instead: Newegg.com - Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

THE ABSOLUTE BEST DEAL ON MEMORY RIGHT NOW.
