Ok all the parts have arrived for my dads upgrade except the PSU. We also have a new router after months of connection sharing and modem swapping its finally here! It's a Belkin wireless G and works great

I've backed up most of my dad's important data now. Im just waiting for him to print off a few emails and for the PSU to arrive and then I can start the build. Before that here are some screenshots of the CPU-Z program running on his computer.

Just thought I would refresh this thread as I have edited the above post. Also just realised 128MB of ram. no wonder it grindes when running XP

Also a quick question. Dose 3200+ mean 3.2Ghz?

an athlon 64 3200 is comparable to a 3.2ghz pentium 4. hence the 3200 speed rating.

that will be a nice little upgrade there! :)

I'd trash that stick of memory and throw in a 512MB PC3200 DIMM, they're like what, $20 nowadays? Also, very nice upgrade, but you gotta mod that case!!! Custom blowhole, front panel LEDs, side window, the works!!!

j/k :P Happy building!
