Default Cleanup and additions time!

Well, its time for my 3-month cleanup. I put my first build together in mid-November 2007, so now it's time to crack it open again, clean it out and check that everything is still firmly in place.

I'm also adding a second SATA hard drive and a TV tuner card.

I'll try to take some pics.

Is there anything special I need to do for this? I'll unplug it and use a static wriststrap and air can to clean it. What else? Any reason to reinstall Vista, as I've heard some folks reinstall the OS every so often?

I reinstall ~ every year. I would defrag that thing, I defrag once a week. Also I would use Ccleaner to clean up the registry and get rid of some of your cookies. Get some compressed air and blow that thing out (unplug it first). Other than that thats all you will prob need to do after 3 mo.

Thanks - Once a week or so I use a defrag someone posted here a while ago. I also run CCleaner daily. So there shouldn't be much in the way there. Do you guys recommend an OS reinstall?

Only if you're having lots of OS issues that you haven't been able to resolve through other methods.
