Default Cleaning out a PC

So my pc is in need of a good dusting and am getting tired of paying $7 a can for air . I was looking at picking up a small wet/dry vac that has an exhaust port and was wondering if i could use a set up like that to dust out my computer . If the wouldn't work is there another way to dust out a pc other then buying the can air , cause i have 4 pc to clean out.

You might check with some of the Cheap auto parts stores in your area, and see if they have them small "pancake" type compressors! Usually they will run about $50 or so.

Vacuum carry static electricity which can be harmful to computer components. I would advise you not to do that. And yeah, cans are expensive. You can use your mouth, try not spitting on it. :P

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?

Make damn sure you have it unplugged if ya gonna lick the circuits.....on a more serious note though, they make the bellows type blowers with the brush that may help some too.

I've used vacuum's on my PC's with no ill effects by remaining grounded. I'll unplug the PC and touch bare metal while using a horse hair brush attachment that isn't likely to discharge, but the risk is still there.

The thing about using a shop vac on reverse flow is anything that's in the canister, hose or filter can be blown INTO the computer when you use that side of the Vac.

Getting yourself a small pancake compressor as previously mentioned would be the best solution. Just be aware that you not adjust the pressure above 20PSI. I use my air compressor for this all the time now and no longer buy canned air.

Great little $1.25 investment. Add the stickers of your choice for a great custom mod.

A can of air goes a very long time when used with a brush. give it a good run through, but then a couple puffs to clear it out. Cans are used up very fast when used as the only source of getting the stuff out.

Yea, a .49 cent paint brush works about the same
The problem with the brushes are, they don't get the dust out of the little spots, ie, pci slots, power supplies, etc..........

I picked up a 6 pack of canned air for ~$15 at sams club. Not the best stuff, but it works.

I agree on SAMS.........with thousands @times invested, one can see spending MORE to keep it ship shape! Hire a house cleaner and git r done! But really,I'm minus a dog now and only have a cat(PITA) I love, and he isn't the problem on the dirty end.I work with concrete....hence the dusty "dander".SOME of his hair is on the filter end,but not completely. It changes from location to location.
