| I have finally decided it's time to upgrade. I'd appreciate any advice on the following build. I already have my case and dvd burners. (Both new and bought on special) Newegg Wishlist Last edited by Smashing; March 1st, 2008 at 18:38. | ||||||||||||||

| Theres nothing more you could ask for in that build! Except, you could get a 500GB HD.... ![]() I think that'll be a fine build! BTW, to HL! | ||||||||||||||

| good setup there...may want to step up the hd space a bit to something like a 7200.11 500GB drive...but otherwise looks good ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! My opinions are my own and not representative of this site or its members. | ||||||||||||||

| I'd agree about the hard drive... 320 runs out fast, and it's not much more to upgrade to 500. e6300@3.33ghz|Asus P5k-e WiFi| 4gb OCZ ReaperX|2x 3870's|1.3tb storage space|MSI tv tuner. | ||||||||||||||

| I do everything from gaming to video editing. I will put pushing this all to a 22" LCD monitor at 1680x1050. My budget is between $1000-2000. I'd prefer to stay low enough to possibly get a 26" monitor. | ||||||||||||||

| That definatly sounds doable, you can get an acer 26" monitor for 500, and I just built a computer for a friend with similar specs to yours (it had an e8400 instead of a q6600, a 680i instead of an x38, little things, but the same general price range) and it came out to ~1500, even with a new 22 in monitor and a ~80 mouse and keyboard combo. So You should probably be able to do that with your budget. e6300@3.33ghz|Asus P5k-e WiFi| 4gb OCZ ReaperX|2x 3870's|1.3tb storage space|MSI tv tuner. | ||||||||||||||
