Default Appraise those pieces

I will shortly be selling some of my computer parts to get myself something fresher.
I would like people to appraise the parts im selling, so I can get an idea how much it's worth. I have my own idea, just wanting to hear you guys voices :)

Opteron 165 @ 2.7Ghz
MSI K8N Neo 4 Platinum PCB 1.0
OCZ Gold GX XTC DDR500
Western Digital WD2500KS 250GB 16mb SATA2
Antec Trio 550W (brand new)

Thanks for your help :)

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?

I'd say $75 for the Opty
$50 for the mobo
Probably $70 for the memory (assuming it is your 2GB kit)
Maybe $55 for the WD2500KS
And you could probably get $80 for the PSU

It's still good hardware, but there is just so much other stuff that is better right now, that's what is driving the prices down so much. I wouldn't expect to get much for the processor/mobo/RAM...

Together, you could sell it as a partial system for around $250-300
Separately you could get around $350-400 for the parts.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Yep it's my 2GB kit. I know it's nothing I can sell very high, obviously with everything newer and better.

My dad just told me he was thinking of changing the family computer for something better. Great timing since I was thinking of getting rid of those pieces shortly, so I'll likely give them for a ridiculous price, instead of him buying some all integrated crap at BestBuy.
I have my X1900XT still here in my drawer too, so they'll have a decent rig. For what they do anyway, it's more than enough.

How much do you think a Sapphire X1900XT 512mb is worth? I might not put it in there, seeing as they don't play tons of games or anything.

It's still a powerful card, but it's a shame that DX10 hardware is picking up steam so fast. They are going for about $230 on Newegg, so I bet you could get about the the price of an HD 3850 (or just under since it's not DX10.1).

EDIT:
Just saw a guy on OCForums selling his for $100 shipped!

I was thinking of around 150 CAD.
I'll need suggestions for my new build soon. I'll likely go for a Q6600 (maybe a Xeon if it's worth it?) and i'll need suggestions for a decent board maybe supporting SLi. Memory recommendations (4GB kit mostly) and a decent cooler for a quad if the TT big typhoon doesn't cut it.

For SLI, really your only choice is 780i... if SLI isn't something you want or need (it only really helps at the super high resolutions) I would highly recommend the P35 chipset (I have heard great things about the DFI P35-T2R.

RAM, 2 Crucial Ballistix 2GB kits.

Nice! I usually recommend Crucial because of the rave reviews... and the crazy low prices... but yes, there are cheaper and more effective 4GB kits than the Ballistix.

Yeah I was looking at 2GB sticks. Gskill have decently priced kits too, in Canada. I'm somehow surprised, because 4GB kits are relatively low in US compared to Canada. :S
I was checking for a quad core, a Q6600 since it's the only thing I could afford, however Intel has the Q9300 almost out. I was thinking maybe to buy a very cheap C2D (that I could overclock a bit teehee) while waiting. Good idea? Any suggestions on that?

I myself looked at boards, and for SLi, there's no other real choice than 780i right now, and the thought of spending $300 for a motherboard is not something I frankly like. I'll likely go for a P35 board again. I'll need suggestions on many few things, so i'll start a thread right away.

Interesting memory Paul. I was looking at Gskill because it seemed like the only decently priced DDR2 4GB kit with 4-4-4-12 timings.
NCIX.com - Buy G.SKILL F2-6400CL4D-4GBPK PC2-6400 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-800 CL4-4-4-12 240PIN Dual Channel Memory Kit - F2-6400CL4D-4GBPK In Canada.
I personally prefer the look of the Patriot however, hahaha.
