| I don't see it happening with IBM really. For reasons noted in the article. However, I can see ATI being bought off of AMD. Either through share-holder demands or AMD needing to staunch it's money rupture. Right now though, ATI may be the only thing, besides investors, keeping AMD afloat. Especially since ATI is on the cusp of releasing it's dual GPU solution, the Radeon HD 3870 X2 1GB (R680). AMD Shares up... | What company in their right mind would buy AMD? If they buy AMD, they also get AMDs 3+ Billion dollar debt. I doubt that it is JUST because of buyout rumors, look at all the other semi-conductor stocks, they all took a dip around the same time as AMD, and also started going back up around the same time as AMD.
