Default Web Hosting

This is a little bit off the computer building topic but I was wondering if any of you have used any of these web hosts (Top 10 link below) and if you can share your experience. I am leaning toward Host Monster - Web hosting.

I have tried dot5 hosting in the past was not very impressed. Just looking for your suggestions/reviews...

We've used 1and1.com, HostGator, and have been using InMotion hosting for 6 months now. Also, be real careful of these sites that claim to rank servers, I suspect they are basically paid advertisements as there are about a hundred of them around the web.

1and1.com
simply awful. Horrible speeds, terrible interface, and at least 45 minuts on hold to get tech support form people who can't speak English.

HostGator.com
Was decent for small sites....very small sites. The more traffic we got, the worse the customer service and support got. they get a lot of accusations that once a site starts using resources, they tank their service so the site will leave. Corresponds with my experience.

InMotionHosting.com
they have their issues, but are by far the best I've used.....A little expensive, but their tech support is great (no 24 hr support sucks). We have had a few outages due to server issues, but for the most part have been pretty happy.

Thanks for the input. Yeah, this was just a popular ranking site that first popped up on google. Host Monster has been around about 10 years and seem to have a lot of options. I have used some real cheap hosts and some moderately expensive hosts. It did seem that I was getting what I paid for. All the options and the sweet deal with hostmonster may be hard to pass up though.

Only 7.99 USD a month for 3000MB of storage and 30GB of bandwith. Comes with unlimited emails, SQL databases, and so many other goodies that I couldn't list them all!

Yep ;)

Only problem is that I can't register domains for you anymore. Which is the main reason why I changed my homepage to a non-updated often/non-advertised blog. (mainly just there for show)

I only sell privately now. (ie: to people on these forums, people I know online, people I know personally, etc)
But if you get your own domain from someone (GoDaddy, 1&1, Yahoo!, etc) I can host it no problemo

I would also recommend A variety of web hosting plans designed to meet your needs and budget as they offer good deals as well, ie. 1000MB for $1/month. Also lots of features from them.
